Best restaurant in Didsbury. (in my humble opinion)This is a lovely, lovely little restaurant. Proper food, properly cooked, perfect for a romantic night or an evening with friends. The staff are great. It’s also within handy reach of a good pub (Metropolitan) to go for a quick drink afterwards!

Great place. I’ve been to Azzurro twice now, once with a group of friends and once for a romantic meal with my other half. Both occasions were equally successful. Staff are friendly, polite and attentive and the food was really lovely. Lots of choice considering this is a small establishment with only one chef to do everything. For a small restaurant the atmosphere was cosy and comfortable and I’ll definitley be back.

Awful. The service was terrible, we waited for the drinks menu, waited to place our drinks order (which the waiter got wrong), waited for the food menu, waited even longer for the food and then sat for 20 minutes in front of dirty starter plates. The waitress looked surprised when my friend handed her a plate and she strolled past. She then took an age to come back and collect the rest. The mains took even longer to arrive and we were sat without drinks for ages having already finished 2 bottles of wine. The restaurant was not full and the staff were slowly wandering about clueless. This is not acceptable on a Saturday evening. I could excuse the service if the food was good. It was not. One fish dish was drenched in mint, my seafood linguine was grey and tasteless, my fish was microwaved, the lamb portion was tiny. We stupidly ordered desert having left a lot of main. Desert menu said home made. The frozen profiteroles were nice but clearly bought in. Expensive and rubbish. There are so many better restaurants in this area. Will not be returning.
Awful service – Average food. I am sad to advise you that I am appalled by the service I have just received from Azzuro. It took 30 minutes for our order to be taken, despite the fact the restaurant was not full and customers that arrived after us were seen too much quicker(not mentioning the fact that I was not able to order more than one drink, due to the ignorance of the waiter). We both felt that we had in some way offended the one waiter who was working on a Friday night, and for ourselves as customers to feel that we had done something wrong, quite frankly is not what I expect from a restaurant. Needless to say I will not be visiting your restaurant again, and while the food was good, I expect MUCH better service, especially considering the competition in the area.
