The service here isn’t the best but the food honestly makes up for it! The pricing is very cheap and presentation of food is beautiful 🙂 (Make sure you carry cash because I’ve had a few times where they didn’t take card)

Food was okayy tasted kinda plain couldn’t really taste any flavour. Chips were amazing though, fat and crispy and tasted even better with the sweet chilli sauce. I also had lamb skewers, they were alright but was difficult to take them out of the stick, they were stuck but overall taste was okay. Prices were good and portion sizes of the food were good too. The guy who served us probably was couldn’t wait to get rid of us there was 7 of us and we were is a really great and energetic mood, somehow it felt us laughing and taking out time ordering was really getting on his nerves, he wasn’t friendly at all. Overall, an okay place to eat so I give it 3.5.

First ever review for The Grill. Gives me great pleasure to be the first reviewer of this excellent dine in restaurant. Found this place through a London food group on watsapp and it came very highly recommended so we thought we would give it a try.A halal HMC certified restaurantThis is the second branch of 2, the first being the original based in east ham.Recently been fully refurbished and decorated out, interior very pleasant, nice table and chairs and and ambient relaxed colour tone for a nice dining experience. Plenty of tables of 4’s and larger tables available too for bigger numbers.Great waiter by the name of Razor, he definitely provided a razor sharp service with a constant attention span without forgetting that we existed after orders and accommodated to all our needs as we didn’t want drinks and cutlery served too early, i was with my wife and 2 children, 4 year old son and 18 month old daughter.Food was ordered and arrived in exactly 20 minutes, absolute great dishes. This place is known for its steaks and its speciality of 4 types of sauces, and we could see why as we saw a delight of dishes being served to others in the restaurant. My wife went for the Steak de frango, a tender chicken steak grilled to perfection (according to menu) with a side and salad, her side being mash potatoe and creamy mushroom sauce.I went for the fish which was a Sea bass Fillet with steak chips and creamy mushroom sauce, children had the kids pasta. All i can say is that the fish was absolutely awesome, marinated and grilled/roasted to absolute perfection, the filet itself was so soft and tender with the marinated flavours being just right in terms of spiciness, but not hot as in chilli hot, the flavours of the fish were a perfect combination of ingredients, very rich, deep and spices that you could individually taste without actually killing the taste of the fish itself and to top it all off was the creamy mushroom sauce which i almost forgot i had as i got lost in the delicious flavours of the fish by itself. Very nice steak chips and a very healthy portion of real fresh salad with plenty of diced tomatoes, cucumbers etc.The chicken steak was very nice too, although it was cooked very well and definitely very tender like the description on menu, and the creamy mushroom sauce definitely helped the taste and flavour of the steak itself, but we felt the chicken itself just slightly lacked something, maybe it could have been a bit more rich in flavour itself or slightly more marinated in its own individual sauce but might be even nicer with one of the other sauce options next time. All in all both very nice dishes, very generous portions and size for the price, so good value for money, although the wife and I are very small and petite people with a generally small appetite, we managed to finish both dishes comfortably and were very full without the need for any starters or other sides. Those with larger apetites would definitely require some starters and extra sides for a great full meal. The childrens chicken pasta was very nice too, very saucy and creamy with a mix of herbs and flavours. .The dessert was excellent too, chocolate fudge cake (2.50) with ice cream (1.00), gorjus tasting cake with 3 layers of actual real chocolate, sauce and fudge and chocolate sprinkles covered sides, amazing value for 3.50 and not the usual cheap stuff that most places look like they just have bought from a cheap run of the mill supplier in wholesale frozen style or even worse like some do from icelands, i have paid a lot more for the same dessert in some places which has definitely been of inferior quality as many places skimp out on quality of desserts or treat them as an afterthought without giving them much priority. All in all a great place with definite value for money and excellent tasting food which will tempt us back for more next time and hopefully try the other dish and sauce combinations.Service was great with smiles all round and at the end everyone asking if we had enjoyed our food and if there was anything they could do to improve. They actually forgot to charge us for the dessert, i only realised when i got to the car and looked at the bill so i returned to pay and was thanked very greatfully by all behind the counter. The 1 an only negative for us was that they didn’t take card payment and luckily i was carrying enough cash, but im sure this is an issue that they will surely address in the near future. This has been a long review, but i think as a fairly new place it thoroughly deserves it and to its credit we can definitely see ourselves becoming regulars here.Thank you to all at The grill, especially Razor for a wonderful evening and a great dining experience.Kind regards,Asif and family.
