Terrible, rude, and stupid place. Do yourself a favour and don’t go.On my first visit I had their full english equivalent and it was poor. Everything seemed overcooked and/or tasteless. Service was slow and sullen. They even have a ridiculous service change scheme whereby if the bill is over a certain amount they add compulsory service charge. Needless to say, I skipped the Bloody Marys, kept the bill low, and they definitely didn’t get a tip.I did however give them a second go, just to be fair – the waitress took ages to come to me, so I wandered over to the bar to give her my order. Instead of taking my order she dismissed me and told me to sit down, She wandered over a few minutes later. My scrambled eggs were horrendous.
I really want to like Brioche but unfortunately I kinda don’t. It’s a shame because it has everything a nice local cafe should – pastries, friendly staff, a good menu. But unfortunately the services and prices let it down and you’ll be waiting for ages for a mediocre eggs benny. Sad times. whatsarahdoes.com
A comfortable, cosy, unpretentious neighbourhood institution with great value for money food and drink. The hash browns are wonderful and the bacon sandwich will keep most doors shut!
