Mr an. BEWARE – THE WORST FOOD EVER!We ordered a take away from Gung-Ho and were reassured by the high price, how wrong could we be!The delivery service was good although quality was extremely poor, the food was not only cold (services dishes were the wrong size) but was mostly deep fried. Before writing this I gave the manger a chance to rectify the situation, although pleasant the owner got involved and insisted that as half the order was consumed we were only entitled to a 50% refund – if you are looking for a good chinese in NW London look elsewhere!Photos available on our Flickr account, a real disappointment.Ian03 Nov, 2012Mr Ian. Yummy!. We went to Gung Ho for Chinese New Year and had a really good meal. The service was friendly without being overbearing and the restaurant was laid out well so there was a good atmosphere without feeling cramped. The vegetable spring rolls were a little bit greasy but everything else was fresh and well prepared with good size portions. The crispy duck pancakes were particularly good! Would recommend for a nice meal out or a take away, we will definitely be going there again.
Best Chinese in a long time. Went with two friends plus 7 year old in April 2009. First visit. The food was excellent – sweet & sour prawns and s&s chicken were first class. Great chilli beef and great noodles. The egg fried rice was so good one could eat that as a meal in itself. The staff were very helpful and bagged up all that we could not eat for a reheated feast the next day at home.
Soggy Tempura and rice. Gung ho was once a great restaurant serving top quality chinese, both in the restaurant and for takeaway. Having a young child we relished in the fact that we could order food for home that was as good as in the restaurant. This is not the case anymore and the last order arrived with greasy and floppy vegetable tempura and very soggy egg fried rice, the dumplings were awful too. We had noticed a decline on previous occasions and the time before was a few months ago, we gave it one more chance recently but wont be doing so again, it was inedible.
