A good all round local little bistro. The ‘full english’ is fully frenched up and beautifully presented, and certainly filling. Eggs Benedict is always nicely done.Dinner is good too, the entrecte a particular highlight on my visit.Perhaps best visited with a 25% off offer from Toptable or such like, I think it’s a tad pricey for the local restaurant niche.
We visited this great little restaurant on the recommendation of a friend who lives locally and honestly had one of the best nights out we’ve had in ages.We were lucky to catch the last few hours of sunshine so started with a glass of wine out front watching the local shops finish up for the day.Dinner was excellent, a great bottle of Pinot Noire along with a great fresh seabass fillet and one of the best rib-eye steaks i’ve had in ages – excellent chips too!!We were going to skip dessert but got sweet talked by the owner Cyril (a charming French man who really knows his stuff) inot sharing the profiteroles and how glad we were!Finishing with a healthy measure of Calvados we stumbled away happy in the knowledge we would soon be returning. If you live nearby – go every day, its that good value for money its almost not worth cooking at home.If you live further away, its worth the trip to this lovely part of London to this hidden gem.James
