I read about Chef Ben’s story and decided to give this vegan restaurant a try. Not that I am vegan, but I really enjoyed the food. The restaurant is cosy but booking on a weekend is a must. You might have to wait even of you have booked as vegan food does take time to be served. We had the fresh carrot juice with ginger which was refreshing. Then we had the soup of the day which was fresh pumpkin cream soup which came with the letters ‘enjoy’ on it, little coffee style gesture which I liked. The pita with three different dips was also fresh and tasty. For the mains, we had the vegan roast which had the most deliciously seasoned veggies, potato and parsnip mash, seintal and a nice gravy. I had seintal for the first time and found it rubbery and hard to chew but maybe that’s how it is. The stroganoff was rich and creamy. Desserts looked really nice, but I didn’t have any space left in my stomach after the starters a d mains. Plus I was also guilty that people who had made reservations were still waiting for a table. Arrive early is what I would say. Good concept and really lovely vegan food.
The Vegan food was pretty good. Its not very cheap though. For some reason service for us was quite slow. Plan enough time to order and eat.
I have frequented this establishment on many occasions. I very rarely give such a high rating but this is the best place for veggies in London. The evening al la carte menu is great and offers good selection of healthy veggie/vegan fodder. However the lunchtime buffet is the showpiece. A selection of hot, cold and raw foods that are healthy and delicious. I see some reviews have said a small selection, well how much food do you want a place to put out just to meet what you call a selection? There is plenty of food and the staff are friendly and helpful. Give in a visit you will not go hungry, disappointed or feeling you have been shop- robbed.
My friend and her husband took us to this place for lunch. Table reservation is highly recommended. The place is super crowded on weekends. The buffet is great. The spread is a combination of various cuisines. The chole is the best from Indian cuisine. I had English Breakfast tea which tastes very good. My friend had Strawberry Smoothie which she said is yum.
One of my favourite places in London, without any doubt. In fact, couple of times we had to go back disappointed because we didn’t reserve the seats and the place was full, but instead of getting angry, we felt happy for them that they are doing well :-)They serve buffet for lunch and A La Carte for dinner, we have tried both and liked equally. For regular visits, buffet seems more attractive as the cost is less, but we really liked their A La Carte also. There are very limited vegan all-you-can-eat buffets in London, and this is the only one we found where the spread is quite healthy as well. The place is bit small, and menu options could seem a bit limited, but hey, we would still rate this as one of the best places.
This review is only for Buffet-100% vegan restaurant.Ambience – Most importantly don’t get misguided by their fancy website. Keep your expectations low since a high ceiling and pretty lanterns are the only features to a cramped dining area.Price – the niche food is an attraction, however all you can eat for 7.50 in Central London is truly a miracle. Only the cost alone is enough to entice a crowd of young people like us and food enthusiasts.Food – Not a lot of options to choose from but everything was delicious. African cuisine at its best. Chickpeas, rice, stuffed tomato, roasted potato, salad to name a few. Would have been great if the food had name tags for people to recall and recommend. Staff- Friendly staff. I have been twice here and on both occasion I was given a time check. This must be due to the shortage of seating area and long queue over the weekends. This place is worth a visit or two. The platter is repeated every day makes one feel the niche is no longer niche Like all buffet restaurants, make an early to queue.
Best meal out for ages. Thoroughly enjoyed every dish. A real treat. Lovely food, personal service and great value. Can’t ask for more.
