A poor experience. Ordered a takeaway after reading all the rave reviews of this restaurant. Both the curries turned out to be a bland and Runny curry with a few pieces of cooked meat in them. No effort seemed to have gone into making this curry, instead someone had emptied a can of diluted sauce over pieces of chicken passing it off as chef’s special. Following our exp suggest steer away from chicken tikka club, chicken nilgiri and tandoori rotis. The pictures on the website are all glossy and some dressed up food look great on it. However as takeaway you can judge the quality as it comes minus cosmetic alterations. The chef needs some serious training – not authentic at all!!
Disappointing. Horrible head cold, so wanted something hot and fragrant to cut through. Ordered a home delivery of chicken xacutti, with bhindi bhajee and sag paneer. It arrived in good time, and hot, but the xacutti just wasn’t. When I’ve had it before, it’s a thick, rich, hot Goan sauce…this looked like someone had put a korma in the box accidentally. I called up to complain to be told ‘that’s how WE do Xacutti’. I pointed out that even their menu described it as ‘fiery’ but there was no apology let alone attempt to redeliver; they didn’t even take my name/address so they could check who’d messed up the order.Shame.
Quality…Authentic Indian food,great value for money. Best Indian in south east London by far with great service and friendly staff. It’s a must! (There is also another Indian Dining Club in Kensington).
