I came here and had a different experience if im honest 😉 I came here on Valentines day with the Mrs and have a brilliant experience! waiters were nice and were very helpful, I even lost my bag and the staff called me as I used my number for reservations and informed that they kept it safe in the back. There was a wide range of Alcohol which was pleasing and set the beautiful mood.for the starter I orderedPrawns which were delicious! Freshly cooked full ofdifferent flavourings all coming together. I then ordered a chicken Korma which I can be very fussy withas some restaurants make it too sweat or not sweet enough or the meat isn’t cook for along as I would like but when It arrived on my plate I knew I had fallen for thedish just by thetantalising mouth-watering smell alone! The chicken was cook well but soft and tender, and had the nice sweetbut also a hint of spice to go with it.. The Naan bread was realsoft and freshly baked. To top it off the mealwent down very well with my Malibu and coke. Whilst Eating they organised a Belly dancer which was very eye-catching and pleasing to the eye and also had live singers who song different music genres to appeal to everyone’s need… All in all was a very brilliant place to eat and when I am next in the area I will definitely be coming back!
The Blue Bengal is one of several Indian restaurants in West Wickham. It has a good menu with good portion sizes I.e. Not massive that you end up wasting loads and the food is well presented. A few issues with the restaurant, it is bright so not much atmosphere, the waiting staff don’t take your coats (so you have to hang on the back of your chair), I found the order taking a bit haphazard and had to keep flagging waiters rather than them anticipating your needs. The prices are decent (91 for 4 people with 2 drinks each). In summary food is good but atmosphere and staff could be improved.
