  Crab House Cafe is a real treat for seafoodies. I’ve been three times and have had a brilliant experience at each. The interior is rustic but charming and beachy with tables placed closely together. For me, its unassuming appearance adds to its appeal and on a warm day one can sit outside and enjoy the views over their oyster farm. There are also hats for sale outside which is somewhat random but hey, I love hats so not complaining.There’s a great deal of care and passion that goes into the food with Nigel Bloxham, the seemingly unostentatious owner quietly but solidly overseeing everything that leaves the kitchen. There’s something I like about the quiet confidence of allowing patrons to see what is often hidden behind doors in other restaurants.Whilst I have tried many things on the menu, don’t go without at least trying the crab. Bashing and smashing and picking into the crab shell is as fun as it is rewarding when you taste the incredible meat. It really is something else. Make sure you do use the bag provided for this exercise though or else you might take an eye out.It’s not the cheapest seafood restaurant in the area, neither should it be. It’s a little gem and as a pretty well-travelled South African-based food lover, it’s well worth a visit.
