Having been to a similar themed restaurant in Angel, London a while a ago, it was time to feast on some MEAT.This is a nice size restaurant as the bigger places in London are not that enjoyable as the meat sometimes arrive cold and don’t come round that often but this restaurant had a nice party feel.Nice selection of meat where 4/10 I really liked while the others were bland/overcooked or wasn’t to my liking. I have to say the salad bar was disappointing where i struggled to put much on the plate.Overall, the meat had a good selection, a bit inconsistent where the different round of meats were cooked differently, either too much or not seasoned enough. Good place to have a party but wouldn’t go there often as it’s very loud and the whole restaurant meat theme can get a little boring after a while.
Totally recommended. I used to go to the restaurant when it was still in the equestrian centre and visited them again last week. The business has grown a lot, no wonder why cause the idea and quality of the food is superb. If you enjoy beef and BBQs this is the perfect place for you.
Ate at Whetstone branch. Meat was very nice but was very unimpressed with salad bar and cardboard chips. Shame as would be so simple to make fewer salads better and excellent bowels of piping hot crisp chips. Shame! Wouldn’t go back.
My last experience at the new branch. I was at the new branch lately(in whetstone) much easier to get then the one in finchley. You better book in advance as they are full every night. The food was just as good as the finchley branch the service was 10 out of 10 we couldn’t breath afterwards haha. Recommending this restaurant to everyone I know why? Because it’s quality and easy there is no menu just start eating as soon as you arrive. It is definitely the best BBQ restaurant that I have been in London. Worth trying xx
El Vaquero N20 Barnet. A non-review…. I would like to give you all a review of this Brazilian BBQ/Rodizio…But I can’t.Why you may ask? Well my parents and I arrived at about a quarter past 8 and asked for a table for 3. The restaurant was at least 2/3rds empty on a wednesday night and it was raining…The waiter asked whether we had a reservation. Mum said ‘no’. The waiter says he will have to check. What I assume was the manager came over (he had a different shirt) and asked again if we had a reservation. Mum apologised and said ‘no, do we need one?’ He then picked up a piece of paper from the table next to the door. And started running his finger up and down humming and hawing…Now if the restaurant was busy… Or if it was made up for a large group… Or if the bit of paper (which both mum and I could clearly see) had had more than 10 names on it (and a lot of doodles of trees), then maybe it would have been somewhat acceptable…But after a couple of minutes of this act I suggested that we go elsewhere, because frankly I have better things to do than take this attitude. We ended up just down the road, where they sat us down, offered us the menus and a drink and frankly treated us like human beings.Oh and an hour or so later, 3 very full and satisfied people drove back past it… They were still mostly empty.
Authentic.Well worth the trip.. The N12/ Mill branch is where we went. Tomorrow we visit the N.20 branch. It seems authentic with waiters coming to the table with skewers of the various (high quality) meats, sausages etc. Excellent salad bar. and a great athmosphere.Great value for 20+Of course it is not quite like eating in Rio where you would get a much wider range of meats. Even in London I’ve paid 60 for a wider choice but this is in no way a criticism.A very good place to go with a group or even on your own!
