A useful address for a quick cheap feed if you are around Whitechapel. We shared a chicken samosa and a single portion of white rice with lamb curry which came with a little complimentary tarka dahl. Massive portion of rice and curry fed the two of us. Lamb was very tender and tasty. The samosa was nothing special, but I did appreciate the fact that it wasn’t greasy. We shared one soft drink. A light lunch for two was only 6.90 before service. This place is geared to locals who are familiar with what is on offer and what it should cost. There is no menu or displayed pricing. We saw several local ladies come in to fetch takeaway curries to heat up at home. Filing that idea away for weeknight curries when I don’t feel like cooking.
