I had been to London on a one-day trip and this resto was recommended by one of my colleague's friends. The food was nowhere near what we get in Asia.…

I am spiritually attached to this place. Nothing does grilled meats like this place. I am always satisfied and full afterwards. From experience the best option is-grilled meats and paneer-Dahl baingun-Dry meat curryAlso totally fulfilling for vegetarians.
Busy place in Whitechapel, average tasting food, taste seems to have gone south the last few times I’ve been here. Extremely crowded on weekends with waiting times of atleast 30 minutes. A bit lacking on ambience and service.
Ramadan is a good time to get into the very popular east end Pakistani grill restaurants. No queues at Needoo today, for a change.Lunch for two was grilled lamb chops, naan, roti, tarka dahl. There were complimentary chutneys and a salad of onions, tomatoes and cucumber with a wedge of lemon on the table when we sat down. The breads were both good. I will probably stick to roti in the future, because the naan was quite greasy. A small portion of dahl was maybe 500ml so actually pretty large. A little under seasoned for my taste but nicely spiced. My companion found it too hot. I was a little disappointed by the lamb chops. A bit thin and tough, and rather a lot of marinade. I think Tayyabs and Lahore Kebab House which are both nearby do better grilled lamb chops. It was a bargain. We drank tap water and a copious lunch for two was 16 before service. I’ve since heard from a Pakistani colleague that the grilled lamb chops are the only dish you shouldn’t order Needoo.
Was looking forward to do Iftar with my other half here all week and was eventually left very disappointed! I had high expectations for this place from hearing about it and reading reviews. In terms of service – For starters we ordered a mixed grill which arrived just in time for iftar. However, our mains didn’t arrive until another half an hour after iftar, people who came after us where served before us, finished their food and paid their bill before mains even arrived. We kept asking the main waiter how long the wait is and he told us it would be here in five minutes about 6 times! On top of that, when the mains arrived it was all wrong. Instead of a Lamb Karahi they gave us a Chicken Karahi, instead of two pilau rice they gave one and they even gave us a Lamb Biryani that we didn’t order! In terms of food – The mixed grill was brilliant especially the lamb chops which were meaty, juicy and had lots of marinade left on them. The chicken Karahi was awful, tasted as if it was cooked in a rush by the chef as the waiter was constantly pressuring the kitchen. It lacked simple flavours and to me tasted just as good as fried chicken mixed into a sauce. The mixed grill, once again especially the lamb chops is the only reason I’ve even decided to give this place a review. Overall, was left very disappointed and ruined the whole evening. Not going back here again.
The Mixed Grill from Needo Grill was once upon a time, a few years ago, simply spectacular. Fast forward to today, it’s probably one of the worse grills I’ve tasted. The standard & quality has dramatically declined, which is such a disappointment, as I use to love this place. The lamb curry lacked authentic flavours and certainly wasn’t prepared fresh. Really hope they go back to their past standards & become outstanding.
I CAN NEVER SAY NO TO NEEDOO GRILL ITS A GREAT HALAL BENGALI/INDIAN RESTAURANT WITH HIGH QUALITY FOOD. ME AND MY HUBBY HAVE BEEN ALWAYS GOING THERE IF WE WANT BENGALI/INDIAN FOOD AS IT CANT BE MISSED.. THE BIRYANI PORTION IS JUST ON POINT BUT THE ONLY DOWN SIDE IS THE CURRIES ARE A LITTLE TO SMALL FOR THE PRICE THEY CHARGE BUT APART FROM THAT ITS AN AMAZING PLACE.. ALL STAFF ARE POLITE
It used to be a great place for a curry. There food is still good i must say but im a little disappointed with the service. They have very young staff who can be a bit haphazard at times. Cutlery wasn’t completely clean nor were the glasses but i guess thats whats expected of curry houses in the area now.
