Small, cosy cafe in Whitechapel. Nice selection of food on offer. My friend and I opted for the grilled chicken with wedges and salad. The food was decent although slightly worrying when you order your food and it is served within 3/4 minutes of placing the order. Which means the chicken was pre-cooked and everything else with it was probably placed in a microwave before serving. Price wise its a cheap eat and overall I think it’s decent.
I went here last saturday with my sister after shopping in whitechapel market. We both ordered lasagnes. It was nice but pretty standard. A little dry, I like my lasagbe to be tomato sauce rich! The lasagbe came with salad, wedges and coleslaw. We did order a mango & banana smoothie after our lasagnes arrived and the man said he will bring it over. We had almost finished our meals and still no smoothie. I think he told th waitress to give it to another 2 girls at another table. The man had left when we paid so we didn’t say anything to the waitress.
If you are visiting this area or you are working nearby and want to go out for lunch on a weekday then this is just the right place to visit. The variety that is offered is huge. You could order from the Mediterranean paninis to the yummy pasta to the regular curries. The staff is courteous and is eager to help. The portions served are huge and the meal is pocket friendly.
Was passing through with Wife and kids on a wet saturday afternoon, and had heard about this place from a few, we had not had proper breakfast as we were originally planning to go to our usual famous cafe joint Medz, but thought we would give this a go. Wanted to try the all day English as thats what we had been craving for, 5.00Very nice breakfast must say, although they dont do tomatoes they did so at my request. Beautiful breakfast but just one downside, very small portion for the size, only 1 piece of toast, very few beans and mushrooms 1 sausage etc although i did not see any other options for bigger size on menu maybe they do larger portions if requested, and it did not come close in terms of value for money in comparison to Medz in mile end with thier huge variations, very large portions with almost 2 of everything and mix and match extras.Very nice clean place and plenty of seating and lots of tempting dishes in the front display especially the lasagna. Next door to another tempting cafe called Marrakesh which looked amazing too with thier displays of food and salads, pastas and lasagnas. So will have to give this place another go with different dishes.
