Graze Bar & Brewery serves house brewed beers & ciders, which will surely give you a taste to remember for a long time. The food that we ordered was all delicious & rich of flavor. My favorites were the burratta, the salmon, & definitely the salted peanut butter ice cream.
After spending a day seeing the sites of Bath I convinced my wife to let us find some locally brewed beer. Since it was feeling a little close to our train departure I choose Graze due to its association with Bath Ales and being right next to the station. Turns out this was an excellent decision. We both ordered of the feature menu, I had a pork chop with mash and sauted cabbage, and my wife had salmon with roasted tomatoes and a side of sweet potato gruyre mash. Both mashes almost overshadowed the main dishes they were so good. My potato mash was creamy and thick, nice touch of chive and garlic plus a lovely bacon jus from the pork chop which had crisp rich skin running along a juicy bone in chop. Even the cabbage was rich and tender with just the right bite left in, bringing everything together. My wife’s salmon was juicy and flaky, full of flavour, with the skin cooked to a fine crisp. The seared tomatoes were left on the vine, bursting with tomato goodness. Not to forget that amazing sweet potato mash. It tasted like the had somehow pureed the taste of toasted gruyre cheese into the mash without leaving any textural trace of it nor over mixing the mash so that it still had the rough texture that better suits sweet potato. In addition to this I had one of the house brewed cask ales, the Gem best bitter. Rich and on the sweet side as casks are want to do but not cloying. Still a little bit of sourness to balance it out and easy to drink. Makes me think of an Innes and Gunn that knows when to ease on the brakes. Convinced me to take the other ale I was thinking to order to go as we ran out of time before our train.Strongly recommend Graze, especially if you need something near the train or bus station and still have time for a sit down meal, but definitely should be excellent for any situation.
Excellent. I have written a letter to the people who run this place. I thought of posting it here but in the end I decided it was too personal, too emotional. A special moment in time. Needless to say, I had the best Steak Sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. Take my advice. Go and check it out. Eat it accompanied by a large Canadian Club on the rocks. You will not regret it.
