Taking a leisurely boat ride on the Avon, I asked the very informative Captain for lunch suggestions and he recommended Joya.Walked in with no real expectations but ended up having a nice meal in a very relaxed atmosphere. The 2 ladies holding the fort were polite and friendly. I ordered the soup of the day and grilled prawns. My son went for spaghetti bolognese. The Mediterranean soup was okay, tasted a bit like thickened pizza sauce. The grilled king prawns were fab as was the pasta. For dessert, ordered the lemon sorbet and creme brulee. The latter was ordered after confirming that it would not disappoint. True to her word, it did not and nor did the excellent 3 scoops of sorbet. At GBP 25pp walked out very satisfied.
