An impressive improvement by the new owners, although it does feel a bit like a chain pub now (which it is) – making it feel a bit cold and artificial for Harlesden. Food is good though and definitely worth a visit. Portions are generous and I never finish my plate. Had a great roast here and the ribs are also excellent. Staff have always been very friendly and attentive. I recommend asking to sit upstairs if you’re eating as it is a really nice view over Harlesden and is a nice environment. It is also a very nice place for a drink and has a lovely garden area for the summer.In terms of parking, avoid it like the plague. It’s hard to find street parking!
I have eaten here now on two occasions and had drinks a few times too. The first time I went to eat, I had the Sunday Roast a very generous serving and delicious. The second time I ate here I had the Cajun Prawn skewer. A huge disappointment six prawns for 14 and these were dry and shrivelled up. On a positive note their potato chips are good. Service is hit and miss. They do a very good spicy Bloody Mary.
