In a time when the historical festivity of the tennis extravaganza is underway, any bar and pub in Wimbledon village is a delight to spend a little time in while the match plays on the tv screen. And here the crab meat salad and the creme brle were especially impressive. The caramelisation on top of the brle was top notch and perfect. Price is on the higher end.
A bit of a train wreck, really. It’s not a bad place to be in, but the food left me wanting. If you’re looking for a pint, this place should do the trick but certainly don’t come here for the food, especially not for brunch.
A great pub. We went on the way to the rugby and they had made a big effort decorating our table. We had these amazing burgers which had everything under the sun on them including pulled pork and cheesy chips. Very nice relaxed atmosphere and I hope to come back at some stage.
A nice pub in Wimbledon Village. It can and often does get very busy. The decor is great and the food is ok. If your with friends then this is a good place to meet and the fact it has outside space is a bonus. They often have live music on at weekends so check the website for details.
Nice, but not great. Been here too many times but more for convenience of location. Drinks are pretty good, good selection of beers and sides.
– The pub itself looks nice and posh from the outside and the inside is not that bad – Went there for a Sunday lunch and we had to wait for one hour in order to get seated as they don’t accept bookings- The food was descent but the portions were quite small – Prices are high for what is offered for both the restaurant and the bar- Environment and decor are good so no issues with that – Service was good which is a plus- All in all I wouldn’t go back again… Not to eat there anyway! I would probably go just for a cup of coffee but nothing more than that
I asked the staff member for a bread roll to eat with my meal. He looked at me with pained, confused look and said ‘No, how would I even know what to charge for that’. Seriously, the stress and confusion on the guys face was amazing. Overall food was not bad, but soured by lack of dough.
