A classic for any Wimbledon native, Wimbledon Tandoori is more than just another Indian restaurant. With servers that seem to remember familiar faces and service that continues even when the place is full – it’s hard to find fault for this small but delicious restaurant! As a vegetarian, whilst my Indian repotoire isn’t exactly expansive, I have to say that their Chana Masala is one of the best. I would highly recommend a try!I’ve been a regular visitor of Wimbledon Tandoori for the past 10 years, and so I know it’s not a one off that I usually leave here satisfied and having been treated as part of the family!Tip: If you’re looking for a quieter dinner, ask if you can sit upstairs.

This is the best indian in Wimbledon Village! They do get very busy so try and book, but if you don’t they will try and get you in asap. The food is very tasty and well priced, good value. The atmosphere is also good.So if you fancy a spicy Friday curry night. look no further!

    – Taste wise the food was good. In our table though some had a good dish and some others not, meaning that they didn’t like their food- On top of that, portions unfortunately were really small and that was something that you could see from the very beginning – Both starters and main dishes were very small, including side dishes – Service was not the best as they were coming every 2 minutes and they were asking if we wanted more drinks and so on and that was quite annoying after a while- Prices were descent so no complaints on that- The interior is not bad – and I would say it is quite romantic as it has low lighting but there is no music at all so it is quite awkward listing to the neighbouring tables’ conversations- All in all I would say that if you happen to be in the area then go for that but other than that I don’t think it’s worth it.

This place always seems to be busy with locals from the Wimbledon village area, so recommend calling in advance to reserve.I have not eaten in, but have had take away a number of times, always accommodating food is fresh, tasty and ready on time.Lamb biriani is tasty and moist and the buttered chicken was a favourite.Located just out of the village, no more that a 2 minute walk from the top of Wimbledon hill.

Great food well priced, friendly staff. The only negative is that we were sitting downstairs near the service counter and it was not very comfortable as they do a fantastic take out business and customers were constantly bunched around our table. Ask for a table upstairs or out the back.

A very good Indian restaurant with friendly staff and a great chicken tikka jalfrezi.
