  I was really looking forward to trying out the Thai cottage, unfortunately I was very disappointed. The restaurant has tables crammed in very close together and their is no sense of privacy at your table. Due to the high number of people it was exceptionally noisy, so you had to speak quite loudly if you wanted to be heard (we were only a table of 4). The menu is extensive, so there is lots of choice, which is a plus. However, there was a 50 minute wait between starters and the main course, and I am convinced it would have been more if we hadn’t complained. We then had to wait a further 10 minutes for 2 of our dishes to be brought to the table. The food was warm, but could not be described as hot. We were told the delay was due to them being so busy, but the people who came in after us, had finished their meal, paid and left just as our main meals turned up. The food itself was very nice, however 2 hours to have a 2 course meal is ridiculous. We are not fussy people, we just expect good food and good service. Although we complained there was no attempt by the staff to rectify our obvious disapointment. Will not be going again, however, for those who want nice Thai food, may I suggest going mid week when I am sure the service will be more attentive.

  Thai cottage is the best restrant in the world, clean, great servised, lovely decorations the best food
