Lovely food, shame about the service. After waiting to be seated and being ignored by staff, bar man asked us to go and find a free table. After a five minute wait decided to fetch our own menus as staff just walked past. Managed to get our starters to us before our drinks came which apparently ‘hadnt been put through’. Our main meals were gorgeous but plates were on our table 20 minutes before being cleaned away then another ten minutes waiting for desert!!! What we hoped was going to be a little bank holiday treat ended up taking up, and ruining the day!!!
Record slowest service?. My Wife and I waited over 70 minutes for our main courses to arrive. A couple behind us had placed an order for fish and chips to be told after a 30 minute wait, that they had no fish.Our waitress wanted to argue that I had not requested a side ordr of fries for my Wifes salad.The Anchor is literally a waste of time and I never wish to repeat the experience.
