Friendly staff, great atmosphere, good food 🙂 Went a couple of days ago for the first time in over a year and it’s been completely redecorated and looks great. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. They sat us down and cleared the table immediately although it was busy. We didn’t have to wait long for food. I ordered fish and chips which was very tasty, as it has always been on previous occasions. Although it wasn’t my meal, the sirloin steak was on the small side. Otherwise a great place for a well priced casual dinner.

How time changes,and how wrong you can be.Lunchtime on a weekday the palce was fairly quiet, ordered our food from the bar.First mistake! Went to find a seat near a window. All seats looked like they came from Bebington tip, old worn and looked like years of stains. Food was of poor quality and of poor standard. Shameful.

I informed the waiter who took my plate away and came back with the plate wiped (leaving smear marks) and the plate being sticky underneath still. I will not be returning as I feel there are places who appriciate my custom more than to insult me with a wiped plate after they have already delivered food on a dirty plate.29 Feb, 2012Surprisingly outstanding. Decor is dated but food was extremely flavoursome. I will be going back soon.
