We had heard that this is on the best kebab in the South East shortlist, so had to pop along for a belated Mother’s Day celebration. We booked, but at 5 on a Sunday, probably didn’t have to. Until my children grow larger stomachs we don’t generally have starters. Here we did. The charred octopus was so meaty he had the consistency of tender chicken – not eaten this quality before. As we came here to try the famous kebabs I couldn’t really opt for a salad (though this is crisp and fresh). I normally end up with half a plate of rice and as such feel bloated when I leave – not here. Here they get the portion sizes just right. The tenderness and flavour of the lamb here is second to none. In the area a lot of Turkish restaurants have recently sprung up – this is by far the best.
