Its a typical punjabi restaurant which serves a wide range of food. The staff is very friendly and this place has the yummiest seekh kebab. The overall ambience is okayish. Their price range is super good.
An amazing Punjabi Dhaba. Will cooked food, generous portions and fab dancing waiters. The signature dish here is the Afghani chicken, it really is amazing melt in the mouth chicken.
Desi tarka is a traditional Punjabi restaurant located in central Southall, Middlesex. The food was simple but cooked well and arrived hot at the table. Portion sizes are very generous and served in a typical Punjabi manner in large steel plates. The daal makhani and chilli paneer are particularly good. The Peshwari naan too is excellent, soft buttery, coconut flavoured, just the right amount of sweetness.Excellent value for money too, we paid just less than 50 pounds for 4 people!Decor is poor however. Large turban clad figurines welcome you into this deceptively large restaurant with very poor lighting. Service is prompt however and staff friendly. The highlight of the evening would be the traditional north Indian dance performance. Some of the waiters are dressed in traditional outfits and occasionally (usually every hour) perform a short bhangra dance routine. Very enjoyable to watch and the customers are encouraged to join in!Overall- Fun, lively and excellent value for money- but if you wish to have a quiet evening out go elsewhere. It is very popular with the locals and can get extremely busy/noisy.
Great atmosphere and service Took my Japanese client and English friendsfor meal on separate occassions, they LOVED it! You can bring you own drinks too
