Friendly, helpful, courteous waiting staff. Food nicely served. Delicious, and as a vegetarian so nice to get a different meal choice from the usual standard pizza, pasta, risotto, goat cheese offerings. I had butter bean rissoles with garlic fries and salad. Very good value for money also, as I feel veggie people are often ripped off in restaurants where they charge carnivore prices for a handful of cheap pasta with a few mushrooms chucked in and call it a ‘vegetarian meal’. The John Hewitt had the right mix of good wholesome home-made food for N. Irish people who like their spuds! Can’t praise the place enough. They have standards and ethics, they house live music and works of art, plus it is monument to poetry! Ticks all my boxes! Thanks so much for a wonderful lunch yesterday!
