The Black Sparrow is a modern pub, nicely decorated with food available for lunch or dinner. Went there with one of my friends and had a few beers. I was surprised when i got a bill with 11 quid to pay for 2 beers. The bar offers wide range of beers starting from english john smith’s smith finishing with italian peroni or czech republic staropramen. Overall good experience but prices could be cheaper though.

My Most Favourite Bar Ever. I love the Black Sparrow. It’s my chez away from chez. It’s all yet another Charles Bukowski themed bar like the one next door (Chinaski’s) but I find it much cooler, and darker. It reminds me of an American bar in the 1960’s and you would expect to see the place lined with men in pin-sharp suits and skinny ties with slicked-back hair to match. The bar is lined with enough vodkas and whiskies than you would ever need (mostly American brands) and the slick leather booths are a welcoming sight on an exhausting night out. For a bar the food is wonderful. My burger was thick, juicy and the portions were plentiful. My dining companion very much enjoyed her pizza too. The amount of different beers are a joyous sight too: Staropramen, Budvar and Red Stripe all available on tap, and the rest. As for bottled beer, fear not, there is plenty to keep you going. Great place. Go now.

Good food. I really enjoy the black sparrow for both food and drinks. The bar is lively and the staff friendly and chatty. It can get busy at the weekends so your probably best booking a table if your going for food. The menu is hearty and the portion sizes are generous.I had the fish and chips last time. Really nice and non greasy unlike a lot of other places. The crowd are quite indie and the music 2.Just off Sauchiehall street at Charing cross well worth visiting!
