Average pub grub that was just ok although the place seemed to be popular. The food appeared within minutes of ordering which usually isn’t a good sign and presentation left something to be desired. Cheerful waiting staff.

This is the first place we come when we arrive in Ballater. The haddock and chips is consistently beautiful. Lovely local pub and the owners are always gracious and welcoming.
Nice traditional bar with two cask beers and a selection of keg and bar menu. Great to sit outside and watch the world go by. Just yards from the river.
We enjoyed very good food, excellent service and minimal waiting time. Would recommend to all. Situated in a very pretty street in an exceptionally pretty town.
