Being away from home is not easy, specially when you are in a land where good Indian food is hard to find! Well, Chakoo came to my rescue and if you are a student in Glasgow trust me this place serves delicious Indian food, not too sweet, not too bland, just the perfect amount of flavours. My favourite is their mutton curry and dal makhini which I love to savour with freshly baked naan bread. The only bad point about this place is that it can get a little heavy on the pocket considering the price they charge for the quantity they serve. All in all, great food, great service and fabulous environment. myaprondiaries.wordpress.com
Sports a nice classic Irani cafe interior & food served in small portions (tapas). Food served on time & delicious portions. Would recommend trying the Kerala fish curry, tasted just like prepared at home and Garlic Naans were soft & fresh. Only -ve point is the Gulab Jamun, which was served as a sugar coated Donut with the sugar syrup served separately, unlike the traditional one. If you are aching for a good Indian food in Glasgow, would definitely recommend Chaakoo Bombay
Loved the old world Irani cafe decor and the tapas menu..never thought Indian food could be served as tapas (really glad to be proven wrong!) Special mention for this Chai cocktail – Chai with singlealt whisky and Chocolate – absolutely loved this Scottish reinvention of my fav milky Chai!
