Read about the place before we got to Glasgow. Right at the heart of the city, found the place perfect for a healthy meal. Loved the variety on the menu with the hot and cold options. Tried the chipotle chicken and keru chicken. If you’re conscious about your calories and want good food, this is a good option.

Martha’s Masterclass. A 5 min stroll from the city centre is this mecca to fresh local produce. In the door and the dining area is bright and clean with plenty of space. At the back is the counter with the menu boards behind. The choice is huge and covers everything from porridge to cake. I had soup and the red dragon pork wrap. Both were full of flavour and crunch although the wrap was a bit dry for my liking. This place is a great example of how healthy food needn’t be bland and tasteless. Looking forward to the Edinburgh launch. Highly recommended.

Lunch from work. Tried out Martha’s based on List Hitlist entry. I work about 15 minute walk away.Nice decor, buzzy, was busy when I was in (Thursday 12:30) but got a table to sit in. I had special – sausage casserole with haricot beans and foccacia 4.95 – was excellent. Also had rhubarb yoghurt granola pot – only grumble was granola was soggy – this is often the case with this combination – except in EAT where they seem to have a granola recipe that stays crunchy. Good coffee. Lunch 8.50 – will definitely be going again.
