I’m intolerant to dairy and flour but I couldn’t help myself.. it was so worth it- Scones, scones, scones! with clotted cream and a nice tea to go alongside.. Or a coffee. Service was average and the bottom floor of the restaurant is really cramped and stuffy(there were two small ish Windows and it was crowded. but the scones were so worth it. This rating is for tea – THE most delicious cream scones in all of Scotland – heavenly. Friendly service, that considering just how busy they were was also extremely efficient – some of our table had something else but I cannot recall as I was so lost in the delights of my cream scone and tea all beautifully presented – will be back again and again !

We had only half day transit in Glasgow and def wanted to have a proper afternoon tea while in town. So we searched our way up and the search engined featured the Willow Tea House. We thought it’s smart to make a reservation since the sched will be super tight and it turned out to be the best decision. As we came by around 2pm there was already long line. At that time we were pretty sure that 70% of the customers were tourists. We had the signature 3 tiered cake stand and it was a moderate portion for 4 of us. The GF Brownie is very delish! We loved all the tea we ordered.Loving the small cozy space. The place might get a little bit touristy (believe me this is the first tea house featured on any search engine) and given the history of the architecture drew a plus factor for people to come and try, but the quality of the afternoon tea is very commendable.
