It had some redecorating in the past few months and Wow! What a difference. The food is amazing and my favourite part was definitely the beer garden. Granted, it was a sunny day which made it more enjoyable but the atmosphere was amazing. Didn’t think the prices were all that bad either considering the prices in places nearby. The Supper Club menu was such a bargain. Will definitely be back again!
The bar itself is lovely and had a major refurbishment in the not too distant past. The gaggles of underage drinkers have been rooted out and forced away as the bar attempts to move into a more upmarket territory.Unfortunately it has failed and is often quiet, thus provides no atmosphere. The drinks are a tad too expensive which has driven a lot of people away, some even regular customers, although the drinks on offer massively improved.Moving onto the food, it is far too expensive for pub food – which is essentially all you are getting. 7 for a Pulled Pork baguette is hideously expensive considering the fare you receive is average.The staff are friendly enough and know a lot about the products, unfortunately this doesn’t save this bar from being below average.
