Long gone is ‘Jenny Ha’s’, the archetypal old man pub. Silent, dark and dingy. Kilderkin is more traditional, without ever seeming to pander to just the old folk that go in.The choice of beer is good, the manager himself has a penchant for liking beers and I know he regularly attends beer, rum and whisky tasting sessions.The food is also great, they used to do pizzas, but the burgers and the haggis, neeps and tatties are brilliant. It’s not too cheap, but the food is of a high standard and worth the price every now and again.
