Lovely little pub. Bartender David was amazing. He was great with the kids and couldn’t fault him for customer service. Meals were proper hearty meals and so yummy. Very reasonable on price. Had some vegetarian options, but not alot. A good selection of Ales. The building is of historical significance as was part of the original tollbooth for passersby coming into Edinburgh.
Love this place!. I visited this restaurant two months ago and ate the neeps and tatties, a fresh salad with salmon, and haggis. The decor of this restaurant is warm and inviting with lots of wood and leather and stone. The building dates back to the 1500s which lends beautifully to the ambiance of the place. Anyone who wants to experience a traditional Scottish pub and restaurant should go!
