I love sushi (and japanese food in general) and it’s hard to find a good sushi place in Edinburgh that I still can afford, until I found this place. The place was small but the food was great. The sushi and sashimi were fresh and wonderful, and other foods (I’ve tried grilled aubergine, oyakodon, and bbq unagi) were also good. They had a friendly service too, so don’t let the humble appearance fools you.
Deliberately came searching for this sushi restaurant. A lot smaller than anticipated but you know what they say, can’t judge a book by its cover! And so ordered the 18 piece mixed sashimi platter plus the dragon roll. In the end we ended up ordering another 8 piece nigiri & sashimi set just because the portions weren’t big enough. Now I’m not a huge eater but in comparison to your high street sushi place the sashimi’s were a little on the small side. However, give this place a go if you’re after some fresh sushi as you won’t me disappointed.
