  Visited with a friend after a recommendation and really enjoyed the hot pot experience. The young waitress was very friendly and explained the whole process of ordering and eating the hot pot. Food was expertly prepared and the broths we chose were topped up several times during the meal. I will return and recommend to anyone in the area. 2 points to note, best to book ahead as it gets busy and they do no accept card payment, cash only

  I walk past Xiangbala every day after work and I also find myself drawn towards it because of the amazing smells. A couple of friends from work had been and recommended it, so 3 of us headed along after work one evening. It’s always busy, so we booked a table, which I would definitely recommend. Because I was dining with people who had been previously I left the ordering up to them. Our hotpot consisted of half spicy and half chicken broth and we ordered a wide selection of ingredients to cook in our hotpot. I enjoyed the meal, but because it is all cooked in the same broth a lot of it tastes similar, this meant that it wasn’t the most exciting meal I’d ever tasted. However, I do think it’s excellent value for money because you can order as much as you like in 2 hours for 16. There is also a Swiss roll like dessert, which is absolutely delicious!
