Best Wee Indian in Town. 5 STAR! Went here last night with some friends. The decor isn’t fantastic, and perhaps it lacks the atmosphere that other upmarket indian restaurants have – but don’t let that detract from the food. The service was excellent and very casual and friendly – there was no pressure to rush us through – but always attentive. The food was just sensational – best Indian I’ve had out for a long time. I had the Tikka sizzler and others had the Lamb Tikka, also nans and mixed starter – all fantatsic and good portions too. This place may not look much from the outside (or the inside!) but it’s a hidden gem. A very friendly family restaurant. Enjoy!

14 of us went here last Saturday. What a restaurant! The staff are extremely polite and know the menu inside out. We had pakoras and garlic mushrooms to start. I asked for them to recommend my main, they brought out tandoori salmon. It was the best main course I have tasted in a long time! The flavours and textures were perfect. Wine was excellent too. Everyone just loved their meal…. I have since had a take away, again no complaints. I love this place! Will be recommending to friends and family, can’t wait to go back!09 Sep, 2012Brilliant restaurant!!! Definitely will be recommending to friends and family – what a place. Real curry, Suberb wine, excellent choices for mains. Was getting so fed up of the places in the west end. Finally a great place to eat.

First and Last. Having lived in the neighbourhood for many years, maybe I should have known better but encouraged by good reviews on a few websites, I gave this restaurant a try for the first time this evening…. It couldn’t have been a worse choice. The fact they don’t have a website isn’t a problem but what it means is you have to go through the just-eat.com franchise that seems to have enveloped every kebab house in the country. So, we ordered on several good recommendations a hearty meal for 5 people. 90 minutes later, a hungry table phoned the restaurant to find out the status of the order. We were told they’d phone back immediately with an update…. Of course, they chose not to bother. When we phoned again, they claimed to know nothing of the order… unsurprsingly, the blame was put on just eat, whereas just eat equally put the blame on Mr.India… neither of which offered any intention of dealing with the problem. So, we’re left with 5 hungry customers and no food. Needless to say I would highly recommend avoiding both Justeat.com and Mr. India’s balti and dosa house, as both offer appalling customer service. Thankfully the local pizza shop offers excellent service and actually delivers the order..

Absolutely excellent. I tried to get in here a few Saturdays ago, but stupidly did not book a table. The manager was apologetic, but I advised it was my fault and told them I would try again. We booked on Saturday night (28th April 2012) and I think this was the best Indian meal I have ever had. Indian is my favourite (specifically a South Indian Chilli Chicken). It was unbelieveable! I highly recommend the food, and the servcie was excellent. I was in with my husband or his birthday. The staff used their initiaitve – instead of pestering us every 5 minutes, they checked on our drinks and asked when we were low if we wanted anything else. My starter was veg pakora, which was truly delicious. My husband ordered this mushroon starter. He loved it. Then he had the tandoori salmon, which looked unreal. Everything was superb, and we will definitely be back. The portions are generous and the naan bread you have to order, we had the peshwari, it was huge. Friendly, relaxed staff. Cosy and comfortable surroundings. I am booking it for a table of 10 next weekend. Really reasonable prices and a great night out. Better than any others in Glasgow by far…………….

Good and honest. Been here quite a few times over the years, whether it be sit in or take away and as I have said above I just find this a good and honest Indian. I like the food, it’s not overly expensive, nice wee location (slightly tucked away in Partick) and staff are pretty good and friendly.
