This is a simple and inexpensive cafe. Since I was a visitor for a few weeks I liked eating at this place for its location, simplicity of ambience and economical food. Their food is alright and their desserts are good. The coffee tastes well too. I tasted a number of pastas during a few visits and they all were fine, if not great. The service was good too. This is a small home-style joint. One shouldn’t expect outstanding food here but it certainly is pocket-friendly.
Disappointing – that’s the word that comes to mind. Saturday brunch is supposed to be prime time for any cafe/ restaurant, but Patisserie Francois doesn’t seem bothered that they’re practically empty. Service is inattentive and not friendly. The food lacks imagination and the interior is dated and tired. No ambience whatsoever. If I owned this place I’d be embarrassed. traverate.com
