First time visiting on a very quiet Sunday night. Place was practically empty. Maybe three couples but they decided to seat us right next to another couple. Found staff arrogant and more interested in staring at their phones. Service extremely slow. Took 20 minutes for starter plates to be cleared and a further 30 minutes waiting for mains to arrive and that was only after my husband asked what was happening…or rather..distracted them from their phones. Food…average. Only good thing is not having to ask if it’s vegan.

My husband and I visited this place on a weekend. Even though we had good Indian options in the City Center we traveled to Westend because we read the good reviews online. And guess what? it was such a disappointment. There was a male staff at Ushas who was extremely rude and non-helpful while selecting the menu. The place is good, the ambiance is warm, the food was okay, I wouldn’t call yummy but the staff’s behaviour totally put us off, ruining our lunch. His manner was rude right from the time we walked in. Initially we did not take notice but as the lunch progressed it was very apparent. He was least interested in taking the order, would not explain the menu, would not respond when called for!!!At the same time there was a group that walked in after us and he was all happy(way too happy) to serve them. After sometime a lady came in to serve and she was way more courteous. Now coming to food, we ordered a portion of vegetable seekh kababs, breads and panner jalfrezi. The food was good. The kabab was well done and good, it comes with a dip which good too. The jalfrezi was too tangy for my tastebubs.I would recommend to go this place for the food. As for me and my husband, we are definitely not going back!

Wonderful and efficient service. Staff provided a larger table as I was on crutches (climbing accident) even though we hadn’t made a reservation on a very busy night. So accommodating. As for food, we ordered samosa chaat, tandoori chicken chaat, chick pea dosa and grilled vegetable poori as starters. Fabulous and not a colour dye in sight! As for the mains they were wonderful too. Definitely would recommend and if you fancy a hot sweet tea order the masala chai.

Had a lovely night with here with my partner. The food was great, not greasy, and flavourful. It was cosy, has an interesting layout, and tasteful deco. We were cold the whole time however, and the food took a while, but it was fairly busy. The service was fantastic. Would go back.
