Amazing restaurant! We had a lovely lunch here today. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful but the best part was the food! Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection! The menu is very diverse and also suitable for vegetarians. By far the best meal I had in Scotland so far.Leave some room for dessert as they are heavenly as well. All in all we had an amazing time and couldnt recommend it enough.

The Edinburgh Restaurant Festival ran from 6th to 16th October, offering set menus and discounts at a variety of the citys restaurants and cafes. I decided to use this opportunity to try out Badger & Co who were offering a two-course lunch for 10.The new Edinburgh bar and eatery is located in the old home of Wind in the Willows author Kenneth Grahame, and this is paid tribute to in its name and artwork. Badger & Co serves up bistro style British food in a cool setting. With the choice of two courses I ditched the starters in favour of dessert, not that the starters didnt sound tempting but I just cant say no to pudding! Both myself and my friend ordered the same meal, escaping the start of autumns chilly weather we were in need of comfort food and so burger and chips it was.The Chargrilled Borders beef burger was very tasty, I ordered mine with cheese and it came with all the trimmings. The freshly cooked chips were Chunky and crispy and the dipping sauce that came with it was nice too.Dessert was Chocolate and Orange Torte and was delicious! A sponge cake with lashings of rich chocolate and orange compote sat on a trail of crushed biscuits, the flavours were very similar to a Jaffa cake, but a lot more indulgent. We enjoyed our lunch at badger and co, and got a good deal with the Edinburgh Festival, the burger is usually 10.50 so we basically got dessert for free. The usual prices are reasonable enough though so no need to wait until next October to visit!www.myfoodwishlist.co.uk myfoodwishlist.co.uk
