I went with my wife, Ann Jacob-Chandler for a Saturday night dinner. The place was packed and we were pleased that we booked ahead. I had pork wrapped in parma ham which felt like a gourmet sausage and it was delicious.

We visited for Sunday lunch and showed up at 12.30pm. The cafe was busy, but we were still about to find a seat, we didn’t realise how big it actually was! I went for the eggs florentine, asking if it came with two eggs (I was hungry). True to the answer, it did, however, it still only came with one half of a bun. I was a little dissapointed as I assumed two eggs meant two bun halfs. However, I should maybe have queried this on the basis of the low price. What did come was great. Service was friendly and relaxed, and the gent that served us answered all our questions about the menu. Really impressed with the short time we waited for our food on a busy sunny Sunday.

Tourist Destination. I’m from the states and we ran in here for dinner because it started to rain. I recommend the Salmon with creme fraiche, but only because I tried that and liked it. Everything else looked great as well. My wife got a stew that was phenomenal. Like me, you may have heard that the food was bland in the UK. Wrong, Truly world-class food at not too exorbitant prices.

Obviously a good start. On a cool evening

Solid Favourite. If you want a tasty and by no means base meal in the City Centre neither branch will fail to satisfy. Yummy and consistent food from a cult favourite.
