Amazing food, perfect sized and an average wait. However the service wasn’t great and the outfits the floorstaff wear are ugly and lacking the Mexican theme.
My mum, Gran and myself visited Chiquitos for my Mums Birthday lunch on Tuesday and we were not disappointed.*The food was amazing and the taste of Mexican was really captured. My mum and Gran got a starter sharing platter and they raved about it.I got the chicken chorizo skewers (photos below) with onions and peppers and they were amazing too!!*We got 2 sides, Sweet Potato Fries and Garlic Bread. The fries were quite yummy… just the same as any other Sweet Potato Fries and the Garlic Bread has the completely wrong name… it was just a few tortilla wraps with herbs then a garlic sauce on the side!!*We then shared the golden nugget cheesecake and Mexican Mess (an Eton Mess but with churros, brownies, cream, chocolate sauce & ice cream) and both were lovely but the cheesecake was exceptionally nice.*The atmosphere of the place was comfortable and homely, the music was background noise and I never once felt like I was shouting over the top of it.*Our waiter was lovely, he was patient even when we were so indecisive about what to order and gave us his recommendations.*The menu had such a huge variety, we wanted to get everything and we decided that Chiquitos would have to be a regular place for us especially with the massive amount of food to choose from.Also, when we got our bill – which was quite reasonable for 3 mains, drinks, desserts and a coffee – we were shown the link at the bottom of the receipt in which we could log on, fill out a 5 minute survey and receive a 10 off voucher for our next visit – however, a word of warning… you only have 30 days to use the voucher from the time on your receipt – not a problem for us but it may be for someone else.Over all… Fab place, Yummy, Homely Mexican food for reasonable prices!!!!!
