We dropped in one Wednesday early evening for a quick drink (3 for various pints as mentioned before) but stayed a bit longer as although the quiz had already started, we do like a quiz! Perhaps it could start a little later to cover for those who finish work after 5?
Wasn’t at all what I was expecting – I thought it would be more bar with a very cool hipster vibe where in fact its more restaurant with quite an industrial feel of exposed bricks, copper, metal and wood with a mix of soft ad hard seating. It has a very open feel about it and although not hipster it is modern. We went in a large group straight after work on a week night and the place wasn’t busy although by the time we left it was slowly filling up.Our waiter was very pleasant and quite patient with us as we were ordering food and cocktails.Much of our orders consisted of burgers, and I opted for the burger with no bun (on my low calorie eating plan) and I was delighted to see that they served it on a large lettuce leaf to act as my ‘bun’. The menu includes various burgers, pizzas and salads with sides. They also do breakfast, brunch and lunch.Cocktails range from the Boo Ya Cachaca to the Old Fashioned to a very interesting Smoked Cherry Manhattan that is delivered to your table in a smoke filled closhe. The food is good. The cocktails are fab.A nice wee bar/restaurant in the West End. tartanspoon.co.uk
