Fantastic service and great tasting Italian food.
Pretty disappointed by this place. We came here after work on a Friday and were quite impressed by the cutesy decor but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to expectations and neither did the service. The pizzas were average at best but really sticks out in my mind was the absolutely revolting knickerbocker glory I had, the sauces when inevitably mixed made the whole thing turn a horrible shade of sludgy green with a taste to match. Also we ad to ask for the bill 3 times before we got it. Won’t be going back.
Came here on Friday for dinner after work with friends. Initially we thought that it was quite quiet for a Friday evening, although this did pick up. The ambiance was lovely, very chilled and laid back and the waiter who was serving us was very nice, non intrusive but informative when required. We all had a mixture of dishes: pate della casa, antipasto della casa, salad and melanzane parmigiana to start., T bone steak, classic pasta dish and a beautiful chicken romano dish main courses. We were very pleased with our food, the seasoning and the portion sizes and our dishes themselves were good but my friends who had the steak weren’t overly impressed. There was nothing wrong with the way it was cooked, but based on the texture of the meat they felt it has possibly been frozen at some point in time so they questioned its freshness.We did have a lovely laid back meal here and we would come back again, but as this is an Italian restaurant we think we will proably stick to the authentic Italian dishes next time. They did do these very well!
