A lunch visit for my wife’s birthday. Aga was professional, courteous and friendly. She is a credit to the place. The food was simply wonderful and the chefs had clearly taken a lot of trouble over what was a lunchtime set menu.
We finally made it to New Chapter last night after hearing great things about the restaurant. Boy were we happy we did, the food was amazing, I chose the scotch egg starter, this bore no resemblance to the supermarket picnic food, it was luscious with the egg still soft and surrounded by dots of pea pure, fresh peas and pea shoots, I was in heaven. It was followed by the pork pressa I have had this cut many times but this was beautifully presented with a slow cooked pig cheek and baby turnips, delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly, the other diners were a real bunch, the high ceiling meant that conversation was possible. All in all a winner, we will be back

My friends had the lamb main and they loved it as well. Service is great too-very friendly staff, treated us like royalty. Just loved it. I will be back 100%. Thank you to the team there and well done to the chef.
