Great little bar on queen street designed as a barber shop – you go through book case and enter the dimly lit bar. A variety of cocktails to choose from ranging from around 7-8.50 and free popcorn as well. No service added on either which is surprising given they do wait on the tables and give good service.
Panda and Sons is one of my favourite bars in Edinburgh. I’ve been here several times over the last couple of years and have always tried something new. My favourite is the birdcage cocktail for its showmanship and smoky taste. I also like their mojitos (last time I had them they were served in tin cans! They also do (or at least used to) a fabulous cocktail called Juan Direction – stunning in presentation. Their nibbles are interesting too although I’ve not had anything heavy here. I absolutely love this place! It’s very cool and quirky and they serve brilliant cocktails. I also like that they bring you a glass of water and a bowl of popcorn on the house, always nice to have a wee snack with your drink! Everyone needs to experience Panda and Sons 🙂 myfoodwishlist.co.uk
This is a great place for a visit on a night out. The table service is marvellous with water and popcorn. I had a Camden beer which I like and I am told that the cocktails are good as well. Well worth a visit.
I’ve only been to Panda & Sons once which is baffling as it’s the sort of place I should be visiting more. After hearing so many amazing things, I finally popped along for a quick cocktail on a Friday night. I love the whole speakeasy vibe that they have in store. You would not think it was a cocktail bar from the outside at all. Which gives it such a hidden gem quality. Once we were inside, the staff found us a table and brought us over some popcorn and water. I really like it when bars actually bring you glasses of water. It’s good to be sensible after all!I wish I could actually recall which cocktail I consumed that night but trust me it was really tasty and it really is a place that I need to go back to soon. This has to be the coolest cocktail bar in Edinburgh. It’s themed like an old barbers which is really original and the atmosphere was great when I was there. The best part is that the cocktails are so creative. My favourite was the Monet one which is served with an artists pallette and 3 tubes of flavourings to add to your prosecco. I saw that someone next to me ordered a cocktail that was covered with a bell far filled with smoke. Just amazing! The bar staff give you a detailed @explanation of the cocktails each time they serve you which really adds to the quality service.
