Fancy looking Italian joint with extremely overrated prices, great service and decent food.Of two of our pastas, one was alright and the other was delicious. I’m just never happy with the idea of eating prawns with shells; cuz opening the shells are an absolute hassle. In dessert, the fondant was absolutely no good and the affogato was soo good.Mixed reviews, but I’d definitely go back and have the same pasta I loved.
Popped in for lunch. This is a chain and we were under no illusions. Just as well. The food took quite a while to arrive and wasn’t overly tasty. My dish was like a student storecupboard basic. Anyone could have made better I’m sure. Disappointing and worth avoiding.

Nice interior, nice staff, bland food. Had been eagerly wanting to go visit this restaurant since it first opened on Castle Street and finally got the chance to go yesterday. The interior is lovely and the staff were pleasant and efficient. The food however was not what we expected. I got the rigatoni speck and my boyfriend got the risotto luganica, and we planned to half these. We also shared the bread basket. We were not particularly impressed with the bread, and when the mains came we found them both to be extremely bland. The ham was the only flavoursome thing in the rigatoni and the risotto was plain – so much so that I left the majority of my half. We were both dissapointed by this as we dine out a lot and have rarely had an experience like this. Despite this, the service was good, but I would say the food needs some improving especially given the price which is similiar to such excellent Italians in Edinburgh like La Favorita.
