I looooove the burritos here! I’ve had the tacos and fajitas too and they’re all fantastic but I sometimes dream of having the burritos from Taco Mazama; they’re so affordable and filling that I can’t be hungry around New Town and not choose to go here. Went in yesterday and finally got a picture of my burrito. Definitely gonna try the double large burrito challenge some day!
Great place to grab a quick bite. Staff are really friendly and helpful. It gets very busy from about 12:45 so you might have a bit of a wait. I’ve only tried the burrito but it is extremely flavoursome. The hot salsa does what it says on the tin. Its really really hot but complimented with sour cream it works well. gluttonsforpunishment.wordpress.com
Taco Mazama has some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. Genuinely, they are all lovely people and so accommodating. I actually think if I walked past on a wet day with no umbrella they’d run out and give me a hug.As the kind people fixed me a fine fajita, I examined the ‘Wall of Fame’ an accompanying ‘Wall of Shame’, which immortalise all those who have defeated their mighty Tuesday challenge, and all those who have failed. One day I will be ready for such a perilous task, alas today was not that day.Sitting down to lunch on the handy wee sofa, I tore into my fajita with much ferocity. Being a bit of a wuss when it comes to anything even slightly hot on the tongue I opted for a mild concoction, with chicken, fajita veg and mild sauce, topped off with a helping of BBQ and Sour Cream sauces. To my delight this all mixed very well, and was the perfect contrast to the muggy, warm day outside.One word of warning – don’t dress too well, as once you taste their fajitas you will be powerless to stop until the tortilla is all but gone and you are left a dripping mess, satisfied completely by your vanquished foe(jita).Ay, gringo, I hear you’re doing some top work with those fajitas!
Handy and Tasty. This new place has a great city centre location and is bright and colourful if a bit basic. The seating area is chunky tables and benches at the large windows overlooking the bustle of Hanover Street. I had a medium chicken burrito which had all the extras and was fresh and tasty if a little dry (the spicy sauce soon fixed that). I enjoyed my visit. The service was quick and friendly and it was good value. Worth a visit for sure.
Worth a visit!. Not usually a fan of spicy food but i noticed the new shop on Hanover street and thought id give it a go, i tried a burrito and it was full of flavor and very filling, well worth the money. The staff were also very friendly, so i’ll definitly be going back to try some new food!
