  Delicious comfort food and great atmosphere! Portion size is very important to me and so I was quite pleased with our dishes. I had a bit of a problem with the slow service but menu variety is great so I will definitely be back to try more!

  Oh wow. What a pile of poorly prepared and served generic ‘food’. Despite booking ahead we had to wait 15minutes for a table. The service was slow – by the time the drinks arrived they were already well diluted with ice – and many orders had to be changed because they didn’t have the ingredients. Looking ahead, I knew how few gluten free options I had but on seeing the full menu I was appalled by how little it was. Nice to see a clear breakdown of allergens, but that doesn’t mean you can get away with having only a fraction of the menu edible. I had nachos, which were decent enough to drag this up from a one star. If the steak had been available I can’t believe it would have been worth the price.Ordering a Long Island Iced Tea seemed reasonable as they’re supposedly good at cocktails. Once I recovered from the first sip which tasted like it was a glass of lime juice I asked for a new one; it was better, but still not good.   We ate here and we won’t be back. I expected more from TGI’s than what we got. The burger looked like it was just thrown on the plate and fries thrown around it. I ordered the monster burger and the bacon was almost cremated and one out of two of the burgers on it was inedible, there’s flame grilled and there’s charcoal. Not impressed at all. There are better places around you can get burgers for cheaper and of much better quality. edinburgers.co.uk

  Went along for cocktails and desert at what usually is my favourite restaurant. In the past when we went for ‘the share’ option for desert it’s been served in a bowl and is huge! First time going to TGI’s since the relaunch and was pretty disappoint! I literally would usually say 5/5 but this evening everything was not good. The service was awkward, the guy wasn’t cheery or welcoming. Changed waiter midway and wasn’t introduced. We were going to sit at the bar as we weren’t eating but the table space was so small. We got our desert pretty quick which means it wasn’t fresh, Once we got a desert it wasn’t hot but lukewarm. And I double checked and said if this was to share, the waiter got defensive and even near enough physically showed me what a normal share would look like (ocd problems don’t touch my food) we got the bill and it took forever to get our charge. We had to get someone’s attention. A little upset and very much disappointed! My old friend use to work there so before the makeover I was a regular..   Good for groups. Had a great night here once or twice – You know what you’re getting – ok everything is’nt freshly made as its franchise food therfore its not overly exciting grub – But if you’re heading out with a bunch of mates and fancy a good atmosphere, big portions to fill you up and nice service then go here. Good value.Ribs are class
