I visited the Caffeine Drip 3 times for breakfast and was very satisfied. There is much to choose from, especially that they allow to build your own breakfast from selected ingredients. I particularly liked the Flying Scotsman (bread roll with black pudding) and Hangover Roll. I also tried Savoury French Toast and absolutely loved the Germagrain bread. The omelette was tasty as well. Breakfast tea is served in big portions and I liked it as well. During my stay in Edinburgh I wanted to taste some fat ‘English breakfast’ and the Caffeine Drip was perfect for this. The staff is cheerful and very helpful. Wait time is ok. I liked the music – not too loud, some ethic sounds, some old songs, really nice – and the overall atmosphere, the place is not overcrowded, other guests are ordinary people, no rude, shouting groups. I’d be happy to return there.
The Caffeine Drip is great place to go for lunch, especially now that it’s getting chilly outside. The cafe is downstairs in a small, basement style room, however there is a also an upstairs lounge. The downstairs cafe is very cosy, which is excellent for a cold afternoon. The menu is extremely extensive which can make it hard to choose! Everything I have eaten here so far as been excellent. The portions are huge and very filling; you certainly get your money’s worth. The cakes are good but very large, and exceptionally sweet. I haven’t had a chance to sample the shakes yet, but I’m really looking forward to finally getting to do so. The Caffeine Drip is a popular place,so it was be quite busy during lunch hours but we have always managed to get a table. If you haven’t been here already make it your ‘must try’ place this Autumn!
This is one great place that I visited the other day with my wife. It is basically South African influenced cafe in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End. This place is really different as they serve fresh and tasty food at very affordable price. Very friendly staff and interesting decor. Everything was just perfect. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
I recently have visited this place with my bunch of friends. They actually have fab atmosphere fab drinks and a wide range of delicious unusual drinks and food, in a nicely decorated cafe with friendly staff. I had a milkshake and ice cream, but i’ll definitely be going back to try some different food this time.
I was there with my family some time ago. It’s a beautiful little caf. It had lovely atmosphere. The staff members there were so friendly. We had lunch there. The food was amazing, very fresh, and good value. We loved the sandwiches. I still can recall the taste, it was delicious. I highly recommend it.
Only been once so far, but cosy little place with really friendly staff. Made the mistake of ordering a white chocolate because I’ve always wondered about it – it was pretty weird, but that’s not down to them! Will go for normal hot choc next time. My husband ordered a bacon roll and it looked truly fantastic. Crispy bacon and roasted tomatoes on top. In fact, that’s what I’m having next time I’m in…
I love this place! Friendly, relaxing, amazing selection of food to suit all dietary requirements and great value for money. Delicious too!!!
