We had an afternoon tea here and it was great, service was excellent, we love the sandwich selection especially the one with trio bell peppers, scones was a bit dry, and cakes, opera (lookalike) were good but carrot cake was disappointing and too sweet. Overall good experience and would go back and try the grill room next time :)(Rating supposed to be 3.5)
This was my first time at The Dome, I came with Kate Re for a cup of tea ready to pay more than usual but we didn’t!All the hot drinks were cheaper than Starbucks and obviously service and atmosphere were perfect! Every so often me and my mum like to treat ourselves to a girly day, we decided to have afternoon tea at The Dome on George Street in Edinburgh, and it was so good! The Dome is the most beautiful old building it is just lovely to be in. There are loads of beautiful lights and mirrors (naturally I had to take a mirror selfie in one, I couldn’t help it). The afternoon tea was so nice, we had four sandwiches each, a scone and cakes to share, as well as that we each had tea and a glass of prosecco. It was great, we had a great girly chat and ate way too much. Afternoon tea is just such a nice thing to do with friends and family, it is just a wee bit of a treat. I would definitely go back to The Dome, the food was really nice, as were the surroundings, and the staff were lovely! It was a really lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon! fashionpolaroids.co.uk
