This restaurant chain has the best buffalo sauce (buffalo wings) we’ve ever had so far. It’s a bit overcrowded at night. But still a good place to dine.
I’ve had my first Haggis experience at Wetherspoon, which was quite exceptional. However was disappointed the second time I visited, as the burgers I ordered were bland. The menu is decently priced and the ambience is pleasant.
Not too bad for an eat. I did enjoy the atmosphere of the place and he staff were all nice. The food was okay, not great but not bad either and it was decently priced. The wraps were quite small portioned with very basic filling (chicken, lettuce and sauce). Its okay for a cheap feed
I have been here a few times for drinks and I’ve always enjoyed it. The last time I visited however, me and my Mum decided to grab a bite to eat whilst we were in for a drink. We opted for a pitcher of an Elderflower Collins and it was yummy. Very refreshing, very delicious. We opted to share some nachos and they were very disappointing. They were very dry and didn’t have nearly enough topping. I would recommend coming here for casual drinks as they are very nice and come with a good price tag. But I would not recommend coming here for food, especially when there are much better places along Rose Street for a similar price.
Awesome, Great Food , Great Experience, Good Timing, Great Service I Have Been Here Many Times Great Atmosphere Good To Go Out With Friends
I’m always a bit scared when I go for a meal in George Street, sometimes I think you get to pay a lot for poor quality here it was the other way around! The standing order is an outstanding location and it’s a place for every pocket. The food is cheap and tasty, I got a delicious Cesar salad and I shared small nachos with a friend. Good food and nice staff! themeneghingirl.blogspot.com
Visiting the bar yesterday, for what felt like the millionth time, the experience was largely the same. A quick and well priced bit to eat and a couple of cheap drinks. The lack of music is unerring, but it does make for a subtle ambience that you don’t tend to find in many other bars where the latest chart music, or dullard classics and trendy acoustic artists invade your eardrums. The grand architecture inside harks back to the days of yore for the building, and the bar which now takes centre-stage is incredibly long and the drinks selection almost unending. The food menu is, as expected, largely classic pub food at very good prices and the deals they carry throughout the week are excellent value for money.Yesterday I had the 14oz Aberdeen Angus Rump Steak with a pint of Guinness, and it only came to 9.69. The food is of good quality, with the chips being one of the low points for the Wetherspoons chain, the Standing Order being no exception. The bar is hugely popular with professionals, families, young people and students, because it represents good value for money. Just don’t expect the world.
